Worship
Prayer services and faith-centered gatherings help community members worship consistently and connect respectfully.
See worship programsAmerican Muslim Association of Lawton (AMAL) brings people together through worship, Islamic education, family and youth programs, community activities, outreach, and charitable support. Our purpose is public service rooted in faith, compassion, responsibility, and local participation.
AMAL is the American Muslim Association of Lawton, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization. We serve Muslims, families, visitors, and neighbors in Lawton by maintaining a welcoming place for prayer, learning, community connection, and service. Our website is organized so that a first-time visitor can quickly understand our nonprofit status, our mission, the programs we offer, the activities we carry out, and the ways to contact or support the organization.
Our work is not built around commercial sales or unrelated services. It is focused on direct community benefit. Worship services give residents a dependable place to pray and gather. Educational programs help children, youth, and adults study the Quran, Islamic knowledge, values, and character. Family and youth activities create healthy opportunities for belonging. Outreach and charitable efforts connect people with practical help, useful information, and local relationships.
AMAL turns its mission into practical opportunities that people can understand and join. Each area has a clear purpose, a defined community benefit, and a direct call to action.

See support servicesVisitors do not need to guess what AMAL offers. The Our Mission page explains why the organization exists and who it serves. The Our Programs page describes worship, education, family development, outreach, and charitable support. The Our Activities page explains the kinds of recurring and seasonal activities that bring those programs to life. Each page includes links to contact the organization, request enrollment information, volunteer, attend, or donate.
Parents may use the enrollment form to ask about available classes and suitable age groups. Community members may contact AMAL about prayer schedules, volunteering, partnership ideas, or support needs. Donors may review the purpose of giving before submitting a donation request. We provide a physical address, telephone number, email address, nonprofit identification, and privacy information so users can make informed decisions.
AMAL aims to present its work in a clear, responsible, and current way. We avoid unsupported claims, inflated impact figures, and vague descriptions. Instead, we explain the purpose of each program, the people it is intended to serve, and how someone can ask for current details. Program schedules and availability can change, so visitors are encouraged to contact the organization before attending or enrolling.
We also distinguish between ongoing services and activities that may be seasonal. Prayer and community support are continuing parts of our work. Ramadan gatherings, special educational sessions, youth events, and charitable drives may occur at specific times of the year. The Activities page provides context for these efforts without presenting every activity as permanently available. This approach helps the public understand what AMAL does while keeping the information accurate.
Our long-term goal is to strengthen a stable, welcoming Islamic center that supports worship, education, service, and positive community relationships in Lawton. We invite people to learn about the mission first, then choose the most relevant way to participate.
